Possibly because there are much more gas engines being sold? That statement is also relative. For Mustangs there are a **** ton of aftermarket producers, that's not always the case. Try actually looking up the prices on some of the stuff.
Until you get to the point where you have to start going to bigger turbos, it's not that expensive, and turbo's for gas engines are just as expensive (not counting the cost to build a gas engine to not fall apart under boost).
