I don't think it's the tranny or rear end oil/grease. I think I have narrowed it down to the e-brake because it happened once during work when I used the e-brake and all I did was move the e-brake handle up and down quite a few times and it was fine after that. Of course the dealership said they can't do anything about it because they can't reproduce it. So since it's been hoovering in the single digit temps lately I've been not using the e-brake when I think about (force of habit otherwise) but I've been ok lately.
