94 computer problems
I have a 94 gt with a few mods and i had a sct 4 bank chip burnt for the car and for some reason the car just decides to rev high at idle and other times it idle smooth and perfect. All the sensors were checked when the tuner burnt the chip. It just makes no sense how it runs great and everything and every now and then the car just decides to idle high. I have heard bad things about the 94-95 computers. Its like it is sensing that the car is cold so its idling high almost like a choke. all i have to do it tap the gas and the car wil idle back down perfect and run smooth. Any suggestions. Maf, tb, iac are all clean and good.

My experience... all learning is DONE within 1hr of mixed driving... even when maxing out the adaptive...
If the tune was just done today, then the tuner needs to go back over what he did.
He missed something...

That's plenty if the tune was right!
When it took an hour for my tune to settle out, it was because the Adaptive was maxing out.
Your brand new custom tune should NOT be maxing out the Adaptive.
The tuner owes you a fix... they missed something.
Be polite and cordial when you talk to them, as pissing off the guys that can help you is seldom a good idea.
But, they missed something...
Actually, the dyno tuner shops seldom look at drivability....
good luck,
jason

what do you mean by the adaptive?...yeah i talked to him already and he is gonna tinker with it somemore...i stayed away from the dyno tune because of that reason and found this person that actually tunes by real drive time so he should be able to work most of it out...i have just heard nothing but bad things about the 94 and 95 computer because they were kind of a layover before the obd stuff in 96

The Adaptive Strategy is what allows the ecu to adapt to changing conditions in the engine/sensors... by adding in a 'correction factor' to the fuel calculations.
I doubt that is your issue anyway...
It sounds like you have a good chance of getting things sorted out, especially since you have a tuner who is willing to take a second look at the car AND it isn't strictly done on the dyno....
Let us know how the retune works out,
