I'm interested in this topic as well. I've heard that there's a lot you can do as long as you don't put in a cam with to small a lobe separation that would cause a low vacuum. I've got a SD set-up in my 5.0 Ranger and I'm planning on building another one. I'm planning on leaving my first one pretty muck stock but when I build my next one I'm going to see where I can take the SD platform.
