Default RE: adding a turbo

there's things you'll have to put together yourself such as an oil line that you're gonna feed from an oil pressure sensor on the cylinder head on the drivers side toward the back of the engine and then you're gonna have to run a return to the oil pan. it's usually cheaper/easier/smarter to just swap to a real turbo motor. these pages should help you decide if the swap is going to be something you want to try http://projecthp.ford23.com/turboswap.html http://projecthp.ford23.com/turboswaphowto.html

if you get a turbo motor, it would be worth the time to swap over the roller cam and followers from the dual plug motor into the turbo motor, yes.

If you are honestly considering swapping out for both a different motor and a manual tranny, you have yourself a good reason to sell your mustang and buy one with a manual V8. This project of yours is getting more costly by the post.

it's not exactly a good idea to buy a 5.0 if the motor you want is a turbo 2.3. a turbo 2.3 swap should not cost a whole lot if you wait and find the right parts car or motor to buy.

The context you were using made it seem like, "Well, I'm doing an engine swap, might as well go manual since sh*ts gonna torn out".

Juggy: Haha, of course buying a 5.0 wouldn't be a good idea if you wanted a Turbo 2.3, but this project just seems costly. Now granted i don't know that much about 2.3 IL4s, but a motor/tranny swap is still a motor/tranny swap at the end of the day.
