Default RE: Borla Exhaust?

Borla = ripoff.

they sound no different than Goerlich Xcelerator's,Dynomax Ultraflow or Magnaflow

Gt takeoffs are stainless. add Force proseries mufflers part# FRC-5201 from www.summitracing.com and you have a really nice sounding exhaust for under $300

Do you think it is worth it to get a 02 GT exhaust installed of my car, I can get them for free. Think it will sound better and give a little more performance?

the GT exhaust will work nicely. it isn't mandrel bent and has some kinks in it and is only 2.25". care must be taken with them when expanded slightly to fit a 2.25" muffler so they don't split but for free go for it.

you can get 2 Force Proseries mufflers from www.summitracing.com for $32.95/muffler. the Force mufflers are built like Flowmaster 40's But IMO sound better and are alittle better quality. Part# FRC-5201 is 2.25" and the correct muffler for GT takeoffs.

here is a sound clip of GT takeoffs and force mufflers on a 3.8 with stock cats
http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?use...5&ctime=100311

plus if you want you can get a GT rear bumper for $200 and have it painted to match your car. it has the the exhaust cutouts already in it and the setup will look like a factory GT rear instead of hanging the tailpipes low enough to clear the V6 bumper

for rear bumpers go to www.mpsautosalvage.com
bumper direct link
http://www.mpsautosalvage.com/produc...Specials=FALSE

you can have a real nice sounding exhaust and the look of a stock GT rear for less that $500 painted and installed. and you may get lucky enough if mps sends you a GT rear that's already your color

Default RE: Borla Exhaust?

Go to local exhaust shop.

Talk to man at exhaust shop.

Tell him you want dual exhuast on your mustang, REAL dual exhuast, and that you would like GT/high flow cats and your choice of mufflers.

Let man install this on your vehicle.

Pay exhaust shop aboot $600 or less.

Enjoy the sounds of dual exhaust.
