Default I like my exhaust, help me make it sound better

So far, for a y-pipe adapted cat-back, MAC is great. NEVER high pitched. Gonna upgrade my heads, cam and intakes this spring soooooooo. . . . . . .My concern is the second I remove my stock cats, guess what, high pitched high pitched high pitched. . . . .can the stock cats work with any aftermarket mid-pipes and headers?

Not to be hard-headed but typically a Mustang V6 without or with hi-flo cats will be more high pitched above 3,000rpms Versus mine that is buzzy at 5,250+rpms which not even high-pitched but a deeper buzzy race car noise. I'd like to keep this sound, maybe louder a bit but maintain the deepness pitch.

Then again, stock cats might muffle my lopey cam during idle, booooooo.

Any suggestions?

well, call me paranoid, lol, it's the countless number of soundclips I guess with stock engines that make me worry!

That's from a moderator on 3.8mustang.com, I wouldn't mind a sound like that as long as it doesn't get high pitched after 3K rpms.

for the soundclip I posted:
The cam is a custom billet 220/226 with about .579 lift

Exhaust is long tube headers, Random Technology highflow cats, Dr. Gas X-Pipe, Hooker Aerochamber Mufflers. All in 3".

I feel the same way emperor. I want to get the MAC Y pipe setup and it sounds like it stays true to what i have been hearing. I agree that w/o cats the car sounds almost ricey at high RPM. So if you use a catted x or h would it do anything to the sound that a y wouldnt? I think thats what he means to say
