Default 95 stang vs. 98 eclipse?

just wondering, what are my chances of beating a gay import like that eclipse? a friend (i dunno if i can call him thatafter buying an import tho) just bought one, and i checked the specs on it...140 HP, 155 torque, v4 2.4L engine, vs. my mustang 190 HP, 225 torque, v6 3.8L engine. both are completely stock. neither one of us has a system (yet) that weighs the car down....and both are automatics

so, whattaya think, could i take him on the 1/4? (i'm pretty sure i could)

What year's your V6? If it's the generation before the current ones....you'll probably get rapped.

i've driven an auto 99 eclipse, RS. they are slow as dogs**t. i used to outrun them all the time in my old 992.2 cavalier, but i couldnt quite beat a 94-98 V6 mustang. if you can drive, you should be able to beat him.

You'll get owned. My old '94 automatic Saturn could probably beat one.

The current, most powerful, V6 in a Mustang MIGHT hang with my current 5 speed (assuming a working transmission in my Saturn....).

You'll be eaten alive.

First of all it sounds like you know nothing about cars since you just called a 4cyl. a v4. For whoever said what year is your car, if you look at the horsepower he says he has that indicates that he has a 99 and up model. If its not a gsx or gst you will win, if its one of those you wont. Since you said he has a 140hp its an rs or gs fwd. Race him and win.

I have a 2G DSM AWD Turbo, but those 2.4L aren't quick at all. Race him, you shouldn't lose. But if you ever run into some money, you can get aftermarket turbo kits for the V6 Mustang and kick some butt. Think about it, your steed will have all the tags of a V6. SLEEPER
