Default Turbo!!!

Ok, my turbo arrived today. It is a t3/t04b. My new welder is arriving wednesday and I will start the custom build. I will start at 4 psi until I can upgrade my fuel system. It will be a long road, but Iam on my way. I will post pics soon. Wish me luck. Oh, its a 2002 v6. My final goal with this turbo is 350 HP to the wheels. I plan to keep it looking as stock as possible. I LOVE the sleeper look.

Gonna go with a single set up for now. I do intend to go twin down the road, but funds are tight. I am in the military, not exactly the highest paying organization around. Plus I have three kids. If I put my oldest sons mouth under the hood I think I could beat a viper.

T3/T4 hybrid is too small of a turbo to run it as a single on the 3.8L - just a heads up.

I know it is small, but I dont plan to spin the engine very high until I get either another turbo or set up a twin. I did the calculations and looked at the compressor map and It will be relativly efficient up to 5500, then it drops off the map. We will see what happens.

Ok,now I have some new info. I have done a ****LOAD of research and even used some turbo calcs and I am just where I need to be. It is a .60AR compressor and 1.15 AR turbine housing. Again, I am running across the bottom half of the compressor map, but I am within specs for the turbo and can expect over 300 HP with 10 lbs of boost and a relatively efficient intercooler, I just need to keep it under 6000 rpm (which I fully intend to do). I intend to go with meth injection as opposed to an intercooler. Anyway, getting ahead of myself. First of is install and 4lbs of boost for "hopefully" around 230 HP. I will post results, but dont hold your breath as it will take a couple of months to aquire the rest of the system and fabricate my exhaust. Been awhile since ive welded exhaust pipe so I will do some test runs first.

incorrect. the T3/T04B is too small for the single. it will spool full boost at about 2900rpm's. i had a T04B on my 86 buick T-type and it was too small and you are talking about running a hybrid which was designed for 4cyl cars???

you need 2 of them or just 1 holset HX35Y or 1 T70
