Default Pypes california smog legal?

i wanted to gent new headers, an X or H pipe and a dual exhaust and i was looking at "Pypes" for all that, but JBA says they are the only smog legal headers for california for the year of 05 V6. i tried emailing pypes but its been a couple days and they havent emailed me back, if this is true, would it be difficult to line up JBA headers with a Pypes x-pipe and pypes dual exhaust? or what would you guys reccomend for the 3 components? thank you
T.C.

im assuming your going to be running long tubes? so if you get the jba long tubes my theory would be if pypes makes a midpipe for long tubes should bolt up. and if you get shorties same thing match midpipe for shorties. and as for mid pipes if you dont have cats then you arent passing smog n CA ive been threw this on my 96 but unless you can find a cutty smog station that will charge you a little more money make sure you have cats.

If the X or H don't have cats, they aren't legal. Headers need to have a bung for the EGR return line on them to maintain smog control.

actually long tubes arent legal in cali at all. Apparently u can use only JBA shorties. Also as of Jan 1, 2009 there are NO aftermarket midpipes at all that are CARB legal. Before that date you could buy the Magnaflow catted H pipe, but i called them a few days ago and they said that the pipe is no longer legal in CA. Sounds like u can have JBA shorties, stock midpipe, and pretty much any catback.
