they are really a good muffler but quiet with stock cats and full exhaust. not bad with stock cats and dumps and really nice with offroad pipes or high flow cats

if you found a site that sells them post it up

no those are like the cherry bomb extreme or flowmaster singlechamber race mufflers. very loud.

the old part number i have is X125 if memory serves me correctly. maybe they don't make them anymore but i doubt that

so i have a stupid question. is a 4.2 or 4.3 just a stroked out 3.8? and what are the performance numbers like? what is needed for the whole "change" for lack of a better word. I'm unfamiliar with storked engines and stroking an engine. just curious

Yessir...
A 4.2 is a stroked 3.8,
and a 4.3 is a stroked and bored 3.8...
All u need is a stroker kit technically...
But a cam wouldn't hurt...
Neither would a port and polish job...

And I'm goin for true duals with dumps...
I don't really care so much about sound as performance,
though I would really rather it not sound like ****,
performance is more important than sound imo...
If the goerlichs can match magnaflows in performance then I'll go with em...
If not then I'd prefer magnaflows...

My setup isnt a 4.2L but it might be able to help you still.

I run a 94/95 GT (5.0) BBK O/R X-pipe that a muffler shop modified for me ($70 dollars.)
They just changed the flange size from 2.5 to 2.25" and slightly altered the angle. Works like a dream (Craptastic quality video of it www.youtube.com/CrainRacing )

Any 94-04 midpipe will be able to be modified to work with the sixer exhaust for a decent price. 94/95 have to have the angle altered less so it might be more cost friendly to purchase what you need from that year range.
