Well it's time to change the plugs and wires on my stang, just not sure what to buy. Obviously I know plugs and wires lol, but what brand should I go for? Is there even a difference from OEM? Also please excuse my noobness but do I have to buy a coil pack separately? and do I have to change the coil pack if it doesn't come with the plugs and wires? I'm at 98k miles, got the car with 95 and have no clue whats been done before so I was wondering if there was anything else I should look into replacing? I've already changed the air filter, seafoamed the car, cleaned the IAC and the MAF as well. Thanks in advanced for all the help guys!

Change the fuel filter, check the brakes/pads/rotors (replace if necessary), check the hoses (replace if necessary), check the drive belt (replace if necessary), new brake fluid, new rear end fluid, new tranny fluid, new coolant. Get 8.5 MSD wires and Autolite coppers or Motorcraft replacements. Keep the coil, you don't have to change it. You're not going to get any noticeable hp or mpg gains from plugs, wires, and a new coil on a stock car... so don't believe otherwise.
DO NOT get any Bosch plug... platinum plugs are a waste too. If you want a high dollar plug, Denso or NGK Iridiums are the way to go.

Well the reason I was considering changing the coil pack was because I'm currently experiencing a miss fire and I heard that could be the problem.
Change the wires and plugs and everything else, then see if it runs better. I bet it will, coilpacks usually last quite awhile, if it is bad, get a ford oem CP. GL
Do the plugs and wires, that should take care of it. It's probably a bad wire. It'll save you like $100 not to get a coil and IF it is bad, you can change it in like 10 minutes without having to redo the plugs and wires.
