I spent around 1700 in go mods.
Hmm... How many miles? I bought my 00 Sixxer for 3.7k, although it was fairly high mileage (98,xxx).

Seeing how New Edge GT's cost around 7-8k, I figure I might was well put about 1k into bolt ons and then another 4k into sc and supporting mods.

I'll only spend a few hundred more than a good (new edge) GT, yet I'll have a car putting out 320rwhp+ easy (albeit with fairly high mileage).

Once you save some money, do a splitport swap from a 99-04 v6... that'll give you about 40 extra hp. Then go from there.

On the plus side, a good set of wheels can make your car look 10x better.
wheels defiantly make it better. added some 03 cobras to my v6 and i get compliments all the time

You're better off investing in a bolt-on New Edge sixxer, which will probably give the pre-99 GT a good run for its money.
Yea, but pre-99 look mean!

only with a 96-98 cobra hood. those snouts look awsome. other than that they look wimpy IMO.

The Intimidator always will be seeing an 03 cobra pull next to you. makes your heart sink unless your making tons of power.

No man, I like how they are more rounded, there really isn't any straight lines. Gives it more of a flowing look, as opposed to the New Edge and especially 197's, which are angular looking..

My 98 sits way too high though. I wish they were about 2" lower from factory and still maintain the same ground clearance. I have 4" tire/lip clearance and 4.25" ground/exhaust clearance
