My 04 v6 has a squeaking noise that sounds like it is from the wheels when I am driving at slow speeds. (under 30) It does not make any sound when I am hitting the breaks and I can only hear it at low speeds. It is high pitched. Any idea what it is?

i actually just had to replace my front driverside caliper, the piston wouldnt back out all the way so that one was rubbing all the time, and also i had frozen sliding pins on my rear passenger side, that was a bitch.
I can look into the breaks if you guys think thats what it is. It seems like it is coming from both sides of the front but more so the passenger side. It is hard to tell where it is coming from because it is so high pitched. It sounds like a bird noise. I also got my pads replaced about a year ago and I can visibly see the rotors are ok.
Also it isn't very bad and most people don't even notice it.
thats what i think it is, it could be the pads being a bad brand or something and they make noise, but you should have had the rotors turned when u got new pads, always a good idea. that could be it too
get your breaks checked and if they are bad and someone else will be replacing them bring your own. Alot of shops will just slap pads on there and say see ya next week.
does it make sounds without moving like you are turning your wheels and it begins to squeal?
No. It just makes a noise around 20-30MPH. Some times it makes a sound and sometimes it doesn't. It isn't a very loud sound and for awhile I wasn't even sure if it was coming from my car or someone else breaking.
