Default 8.8 rear end install

Well i was planning on gettin gears and a tlok but i keep hearing on how the tlok's arent very strong and break with stock power sometime. So i got to thinkin how hard is it to put in a 8.8 rear end. And what all do u have to change in order for it to fit.

An 8.8 is a direct bolt in as long as you get your one out of the year range of your mustang. That means 94-98 and 99-04. unless you have big power goals then why dont you look into a detroit true trac.

The detroit true trak does the same thing(makes both wheels spin) as the ford tlock but is alot stronger.

You don't have to go with detroit, you can also go with auburn, little cheaper strong too.

With the auburn you have to worry about clutch disc wearing out over time and putting in friction modifier when the oil is changed.

Never unless you open it or it is a track car but +1 a stock 8.8 isn't locked just LSD if you don't have 500 hp+ goals with slicks a 8.8 isn't really needed you can build a strong 7.5 for moderate powerlevels for cheaper
