Default K&N filter question

Hey there

Had a quick question. I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable about cars (didn't really have anyone to teach me growing up,) but I've been loving my Mustang that I got a few months ago and am anxious to learn more.

My question is about a K&N air filter. I've heard lots of good things about these and I'm hoping to have one put in. There's one that I've been looking at on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-98...Q5fAccessories

My question is first of all, is this a good buy and does it come with everything that I'll need to get it installed? And also, around how much would it cost me if I had it installed by a run-of-the-mill mechanic?

Thanks for helping a new guy out!

Joe

Looks ok, but I'm not sure if it will fit your car. I have this CAI on my 04 V6 and with exhaust it has made a nice difference in performance. American muscle is a great business. I have ordered a lot from them.http://www.americanmuscle.com/muv6coairins.html

It took me about an hour to install this CAI on my own, just taking my time.

Thanks! And I just realized that I posted the wrong eBay link. I suppose I should check my post before I hit "Submit"...

+1 on the DIY. Don't take it to a mechanic. They will charge you way to much to put it on and it wouldn't be worth it. This is a very simple install. If you need help just post your questions here and we will answer.

A CAI is an easy install, watch the video on American Muscle and do it yourself.
