I was driving around for about 20 mins with A/C on today and then was stopped for about 10 with the car running and the A/C on. I turned the car off for about 5 mins and opened my windows. When I restarted it, the RPM's shot up to almost 2000 and then to below 1000. I shut the car and turned it back on, yet it happened again. I was only a few mins away from home so I drove back. The throttle response was horrible, I was hitting the gas and not going anywhere. I punched the pedal and it felt like it was only going about half throttle. I revved it up, but nothing worked. What seems to be the problem?

The only reason I had the air on was because I was feeling a bit under the weather so I didn't feel like being hot... I usually don't put it on... last year, my refrigerant hose was busted and it was 100+ for 5 days straight... not very fun... a 5 minute drive home from school was like a 4 hour torture... doing 80 on the highway with the hottest breeze ever isn't fun =/
