Default I want exhaust that will make my car

sound more like a GT than a Honda... what is the cheapest/best stuff to get? I'm in the process of getting a new muffler, but my y-pipe is ok... what should I look for?

Don't keep the Y pipe. Divorced duals to dumps. Mufflers I'd say Flowmaster 40's or Thrush Welded series (IMO thrush sound better)

getting a shop to fab you true duals would give you the best sound..but if you've got to keep the stock y pipe then consider gutting the cats and get a single flow 40. i had this setup for about 3 weeks before I went with l/ts, it gave a pretty decent sound for an $80 exhaust system..

I didn't buy a Stang for its reliability. I bought it for the wood I get when I drive it.

Well here in NY you need cats so it's a no-go with gutting the cats... what's the cheapest I can do with an h- or x-pipe instead of my y-pipe?

If you take your car to an exhaust shop and say you want divorced duals to *insert mufflers name here* dumped. They will cut the Y pipe off(keeping your cats) and bend some pipe and weld it on the stock cats. Mount your mufflers in the pockets for them, weld them to the pipe and put the dumps on.

I actually prefered that set up ove my LT's, H and side exhaust.

Ill get you pics of my old exhaust tomorrow.

For a V6 it does sound nice. I dunno about Ontario but it was "legal" in Saskatchewan since we dont have emission testing.
