If you have even a little mechanical knowledge why dont you do the install yourself. Replacing the manifolds is quite simple and should take no longer than a day at most.

The thing is during the week I have school... what does changing the manifolds consist of doing? From what I have seen under my hood, it doesn't look to easy lol

U just remove the air intake, jack the car up and put it on jackstands, loosen the nuts on the collector flange, loosen the bolts connecting manifolds to the block, pull the manifolds out. install is the reverse.
That is a really simplified way of describing btw.

Dude I had the same problem as you about a year ago, and the mechanics wanted to charge a arm and a leg. I would have fixed it myself but I just don't have the tools or work place to do it.
I decided to take advantage of craigslist by creating a post asking for a mechanic to do a cheap side job. Sure enough tons of mechanics started calling me making me offers. I had a guy put both my new manifolds on for $100. Normally I would be a little timid to do this but I figured nobody could **** up putting on manifolds because they just bolt right up. Point being, for $100 dollars I got to avoid high prices and saved myself a lot of time.
So fink, you made it sound easier than it is? Because if not, that does not sound too bad at all
Well it is simplified but the only major problem you might have is the nuts on the collectors like to seize up. Other than that its pretty easy besides some of the bolts connecting the manifolds to the heads.

This sounds interesting but I don't think I'd be able to pull it off... my dad's friend put my brakes in a few months ago, and I asked him if he could ask him... he did a good job, and I don't see why he can't do it, it's just if he wants to lol... but if I can get him to do it, that would be a huge plus; less money spent, but he might need my car a little bit longer... fine by me, I'm at school during the week anyway, NYC is the mass transportation capital of the world (bus and subway!) lol
