Default V6 EXHAUST QUESTION

Hi,
I was wondering what exhaust set up to get to get the most throaty sound out of my v6 Mustang. I have a flowmaster on it right now and when i turned the car on I was quite disappointed with how quiet it sounded. Sound I change to dual exhaust? Will that limit the sound even more. I plan to cut the mufflers before you could see it out the bumper so this is purely for sound not for looks. Do you guys have any suggestions or advice? thanks a million.

you got a vid of that sound w/ the x pipe? I've been thinking about having high flows welded into my h pipe and having the x for a o/r setup.

nope. I got some super 40's flowmasters and they hold their tone a lot more than the reg flow 40's.

I was thinking about getting Mac lt headers, an o/r h pipe and dual flowmasters. Is this the set up you have? If I get this set up do I have to take off my cats? California emission laws suckk ;(

To cam a v6 isn't it expensive?

Thank you

My exhaust shop cut everything off after the cats, welded in a custom H and 2 flowmaster 40's. I think it sounds the best for the 99-04 v6.

here is my exhaust vid (sorry kinds crapy quality)

Default Quick Cheap and Easy but Sound Great

I just put a Pypes system on my 07, and I love the sound it makes.

Also the system is easy to put on and has a low cost. For $140 and about an hour of your time, it is a great deal!!

Take A Look: http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...ck-2005v6.html

L/ts get rid of all stock cats, but you can have high flow cats welded into the mix...I don't think you can get away with l/ts in California.

To cam a v6 isn't it expensive?

Check prices of a cam at supersixmotorsports then found out how much install cost would be...unless you have the tools and the know how to do it yourself.

Thank you

with the newer model mustangs to change mufflers all you have to do is unclamp it right?? no cutting or welding involved?
