I was actually going to run that on mine, but every custom shop that I trust said theuy could shave it, but it would only last a couple years and then it would start to crack.

So..i shouldn't get one?...It makes sense, the bumper is so flexible.
I guess it makes sense it would crack..Might just get a GT bumper and do duals.
I know that a while back, latemodelrestoration sold shaved ones for $300+$135 for shipping. Of course I find this after I get my gt rear.

But, don't you have your bumper shaved anyway? Going from your sig.
All aftermarket bumpers are "shaved." When Ford freaked out about their name being whored out and ripped off by a lot of people, they made the aftermarket parts companies remove the "mustang" from their bumpers. The only shaved cobra bumpers I have seen are the 99 cobra bumpers, which is the same as the GT.
My bumper is molded without letters, so no shaving was necessary.

the bumper is sick that exactly waht im doing to mine when i get it.
a shaved bumper will not crack if done properly. i am an autobody tech. if you use the bumper repair glue and prep it correctly and use the correct kind of body filler.it will not crack. evercoat makes a flexible bumper repair body filler ...
THE WRONG WAY TO DO IT - sand it down go to your local parts store get some bondo and plaster it on there.you will have cracking problems
