Well after looking at this how to with a 8.8" It seems he had to cut the quad shock mount off in order to get it to fit. If the 7.5 has the same diameter axle tubes as the 8.8, it should work correct? I wouldnt have to do any cutting since we dont have a quad shock mount.

I have the quad shock bracket and they don't get in the way at all. The only interference I could see is with the anti-moan bracket, that you don't even need. Since the v6/gt brackets are the same, then I would think that the Cobra would go ahead and bolt on without any issues.

Yes anti moan bracket. I thought from the pics it was the quad shock mount. There is only a 1/4 difference between the 7.5 and 8.8 axle tubes. So if I need to do a little fabrication to make it fit, I will. I cant seem to find a reasonably priced 8.8 in my area. $650 is the lowest price I found for one.
Ill be putting in a Auburn posi and gears when I get all the parts for the brake swap so pulling the axles wont be a problem.

I got the rear brake kit from americanmuscle. Everything fit, but the bracket that holds the pads in was rubbing the outside surface area of my rotors. All I did was take them off, put it in a vice and use a Dremel and file to grind it down to give it enough clearance. ...Don't know if that's what Ryan was talking about the 8.8" or not.
