So, what is the difference between the two really? I've heard that the Predator is a bit slower (not a concern) and that not as many shops use it (also not too big of a concern). However, will these things really be a problem for me? As far as features, is there anything one can do that the other can't? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

They are both gonna do about the same for ya, just the SCT is gonna be easier to find a tune for... but then again, can't say I've ever looked for predator either...
I have a diablo, get an SCT. I found 3 shops in NE that work with diablo while there are tons that deal with SCT, as well as you can just have Justin write you a tune and send it to you. I have not found anyone who does it with diablo. Just get the SCT. I would say spend the extra and get an SCT. Theres a reason people refer to it as diabloww
I used the Predator on my old 98 sixer, and it's an OK program, but very slow to do anything. Put it this way, when I get a tuner for the 99 Cobra, I'm getting an SCT.

Iv only used diablo, but +1 to what Shaunmac9128 said about shops knowing/hearing/using more of the SCT. Maybe not a whole bunch more in my area, but a few.
Well, there are no shops with SCT stuff for about 80 miles from where I live (none with Diablo either). So, it's 50/50 as far as that goes. However, I'd not be able to get tunes from VMP. I guess I could live with that, but it'd be nice to have the option.

Honestly i wouldnt think to hard about it, ya it would be nice to have a shop be able to make use of it, but honestly i say go for whatever you can get cheaper/easier. For me i started using diablo, so the next one il probably get will most likely be the same. I wish i could tune 2 cars with a single thing, but i keep thinking you have to reset the factory tune before using it with a different car?? Dont mean to thread highjack, just thinking aloud.
Yeah thats why people sell them locked without taking the tune off their car, then the buyer getd f'd. But I would just go with sct like I said unless you get a great deal on the diablo. If you start modding more seriously their preset tunes can only go so far, thats when someone like Justin or a dynotune comes in.
