Prolly not enough to even justify the cost of getting it tuned. It just 93 octane. It is your first time racing so you have no way of telling if it will help you. The biggest mod you can do is a driver mod. Talk to people who have been around the track for awhile and see if they can give you some pointers on how to drive the car. That will give you the best bang for your buck from where you are sitting right now. And take out all the un needed stuff in your car to lighten the load for the day.

You might be able to squeeze out a few more hp with the 93 tune. I know my 87 octane tune on my diablo tuner is an "economy" tune, but it offers more power/better shift points. The 93 octane tune on mine is a "performance" tune. However make sure you use 93 octane without ethanol in it, I've heard it will cause bad gas mileage. Not that your concerned with it on the track but if you start using it regularly just a heads up. Also, make sure your front tires are at their max psi and you can lower your rears a few psi if you want, might get you some better traction, so I've been told.

And make sure your a/c is off lol

OP, auto or stick?
With street tires, having the correct PSI can accually have better luck than dropping it like you would a drag radial, depends on the tire really.

its an auto =< that was why i had it tuned in the first place. i have street tires on it now but i am currently looking into getting stock mustang wheels from a junkyard and having good drag radials put on them for weekend races and for my future gt. but im not sure yet. they are expensive and i dont think they will make to much difference now.

p.s the tune is 59 bucks

It didn't come with any preset tunes? I assume you got the one from am, or through someone in the classifides? If you don't plan on seriously modding the six much more and are saving for a gt sending $60 to Justin with all your info for a tune probably wouldn't be a bad idea. But if your going to do some more to it, I'd hold off personally.

honestly i had the 93 tune in my car and it ran like POOPIE. i actually think the car runs better on the 89 tune. if you do decide to change the tune dont manually change any of the fuel of spark tabels if you dont have a air/fuel guage in the car.. i actually have changed my air fuel tables and spark tables in my car cuz i have a little experience with the diablo . what i did was added 3% on fuel and added 3 degrees of spark advance to keep it from detonating. and i have the capability to data log the bucket on my laptop..

but as far as tire pressure there is no need to drop rear pressure. run all 4 tires around 32-35 psi id do 32. i have played with tire pressures b4 on street tires and found that i tend to spin alot off the line with dropped pressure. i was running 20 psi in the left and 16 psi in the right. .and it didnt hook. dropping pressure on drs is great.

and when you buy the drag radials i would suggest buying a 10.5 inch steel wheel . something simple like outts summit or something , not very expensive. that way you can run a 315 tire SAFELY!
the problem with running a stock 8 inch wheel with a 12 inch tire is they tend to buldge on the sideswhich #1 is not safe at all. and #2 the tire could possible spin on the wheel and break the bead which could leave you with a flat drag radial at the starting line

justa6 u are awsome man thanks for that advice. i know u know what ur talking about. im not going to be able to get radials this week cuz i dont wanna rush things. im going to get some for my gt when i get it. ill keep my streets at 32

as for the tune i have the capability to data log too. but i have no idea how to read and understand it. haha. im going to talk to justin a lil more and if he can cut me a deal im going to try out the 93 tune.

any advice for my first time anyone. i know with street tire i should go around the water box and i should only give them a quick spin to clean them off, is that right? i also know about the first 2 yellow lights is pre stage and the second 2 are stage then idk?
