Your car most likely isn't flex fuel so you'll do some damage to your fuel system. Flex fuel vehicles can run both gasoline and E85.

Have you ever read the bottle of "octane booster"? It destroys stuff on your car, it's a terrible gimmick that doesn't do ****. The best thing to do is just buy better quality gas, no cheap race track or murphy or anything. If you're NOT on a premium tune, then don;t run it, just run regular. It'll be fine.

Only 1 place here in Springfield sells E85 that I know of but I see flexfuel GM's all over the place. I doubt they all go to that single station whenever they need to fill up.

Now E85 can be a great if you have your car tuned and can even increase your horsepower and still save cash. This months 5.0 issue has a great article about a stock 03' Mach 1 that makes some 30hp more on E85 and has a lower cost per mile than with 93octane, now thats a nice power upgrade that actually saves money!

If you run E85 and your car is not a flex fuel vehicle, or it is not set up to run E85 you will screw your car up.

The article didn't even tune for the 93 octanes, I wonder what the difference would have been with, horsepower and torque. Even the miles the car was driven in the road test on the two different types of gasoline were not the same! How can you say something is close to something else and drive a different amount of miles and not tune for the fuel?
