Ah, the truth comes out. The 4.6L V6 can be done, but they don't last. Cylinder walls get too thin, and they don't work out well. I haven't ever heard of one working out well. I'm guessing they thought your were joking or just being a jerk with the 4.6L V6 comment.

thank you. the specs on the bottom end are .060'' on the bore custom ross forged pistons, cut to fit rings 6.00 scat h beam rods 2.1 rod journal and a4.2 crank with .200'' added to the storke the motor will be getting a 1 off cnc main girdle and billet main caps. as far as the heads go im not exactly sure where i am going to go with them im thinking of doing the big valve heads with a 2.02 intake valve and a 1.80 exhaust valve all stainless steel vales titainum keepers.ii will also be installing the a set of beehive springs so i can run a higher lift cam not sure what cam is going in it
i will be running a custom pnp lower lower intake with a chopped4.2 truck upper with a cobra big oval tb on the front of it and to top it off she will be sucking around 7psi from a intercooled procharger.

ps those are not specs that you can pull out of ya ass

Sounds like a nice project. I don't think it will last that long either but good luck!

All that money and using a chopped truck upper that weighs as much as a boat anchor and flows less air than the Winstar upper? Can I ask why?

I'd be careful boring 60 over. Those walls will be thin, and when you push boost, you risk the block. You can make more power safely if you stay 4.2/4.3L.

What Pro Charger head unit are you using? Estimated CFM?

This seems to me like it's defeating the purpose here. You have a forged 4.6 that can't handle boost(7psi come on) because the cylinder walls are so thin. I just don't get it, people are making awesome power with 4.2's or 3's, and able to boost the crap out of them. This project is destined for failure, and I'm trying to be as nice as possible here. I can come off as having a 'tude(work in progress), but I'm just being realistic.

Cheat? You know we have to work to keep up with other newer v8s so we are working for them to.

I honestly doubt 500 hp to the crank, let alone to the wheels. I don't see near that much N/A.

An all out 4.2 n/a I can't see making over 400hp, maybe with a really high compression on race gas?? And I don't think the extra .4 bore is gona net 100 extra hp. But I'm no expert. Even so the stock 3.8 block has been pushed to 900+hp correct? You plan on pushing 500 n/a so like 570 roughly with the procharger? With the walls that this how will it hold up?
