To my knowledge, standard forged internals should be more than enough. The only difference between a twin screw and a roots S/C is the effeciency at which they opperate. The added effeciency of the twin screws compression design is why it makes more power per psi, but it's not an uber load more, just a 90-95% effeciency versus a roots 60-70%, so in short, you get about another 2-4 rwhp per psi. So regular forged internals should be more than enough.

Honestly, why hasn't anybody done a whipple or KB on a sixer yet? They're light years above anything else other than a turbo.

Screw, the Supercharger ideas....

Turbo > supercharger

And nobody has done it because most people are smart enough to go turbo ....

Or they don't have enough money. If I did that would be the route I would go. But other than forged internals, don't you think a cam, a good pnp lower and heads, longtube exhaust, serious rear end and a good suspension would be in order?

Actually, you don't "NEED" any of that other stuff for an S/C, that's all add ons for extra power, more daily maintenance, and head scratching on the tuners part, it's already bad enough working around just the S/C from time to time.

Honestly, I'd really like to see one of you M-112 guys on here convert over to a twin screw design and let's see the results.

As stated, turbos are good, but costly as freeking hell.

Well maybe when I have enough money I will. Next year I'll be getting my M112 setup.

Money is the main thing stopping people from going Roots S/C or Turbo would be my guess. Its my reason that I havent done half the stuff I want to do.

personally i wanted to go with a bad ass offset turbo set up but then the purpose of my car changed. i decided that after i finish college im going to the marines and then after that getting a termi and striping it. take the IRS and the M112 along with other things and matting them to my v6 to make a corner carving beat from hell.

then after striping the termi, rebuild it from the ground up to be a full out drag car. full forged engine, gforce upgraded t56 ford 9inch rear end, if i can make it work a fully adjustable 4 link some big slicks and some kinda forced induction. im thinking turbos for the cobra maybe a huge blower

Don't termi's have forged internals stock? And my plan is to be an RA at school next year, so I'll make just over $8,000 and put half of that towards the car and the M112 setup. If I stay an RA the year after then I'll have some more money to play with and might do forged internals and a stage 3 package from ssm. But I have two more christmas's and brithdays before that to get some more supporting mods.
