Default Muffler Question

I have a pypes true cat back exhaust for my 2010 v6 mustang, but i was wondering if i bought a pair of american thunder mufflers, magnapacks, or flowtech terminator mufflers would they match up and fit correctly? IDK if anyone has tried this or if anyone has done it

If they are the same size pipe, then yeah.

And the correct offset. Just check if they are offset and how, then the pipe size, and order whatever muffler you want with that size inlet/outlet and offset.

"I have a pypes true cat back exhaust"
A lot of the S197 V6's are cat back x's and the V8's are mainly axle-backs if I'm not mistaken. I know there are FRPP true x catbacks as well as pypes true x catbacks for the V6.

No I mean most of the mufflers, since it's behind the axle have the same offset, so he could theoretically swap in what ever muffler he wants.

Pypes has a kit for the 05~ called the mid muffler system. All s197s come stock with an axle back exhaust system. If the OP has the mid muffler system then the only mufflers that will fit in there are the pypes mid mufflers or some magnaflow bullet style mufflers. If he still has the axle back then he could use the any muffler he wants as synyster stated. I have heard only good things about the frpp gta mufflers, have you checked those out OP?
