ok so between my clutch vibrating now (very annoying and bad) and me needing to replace my Pilot bearing (even MORE anoying with that stupid sound) since im gonna be down there getting some work done, i might aswell replace my TB as well....
in any case ive decided that its time for a new clutch...........now as im looking around, i called autozone (store near me) and the quoted me 280 for...........well 199 for a clutch kit and like 80 for a flywheel...heres the link to the clutch im assuming they have.
now keeping in mind that im driving for the most part a stock v6, though i am looking to upgrade, overall im looking for a stable but slightly more stronger DD, now out of these 3, are any of these any good?
im leaning towards one of the clutches on AM but my ? is this, if i purchase a clutch from AM, can i get by with a regular 80 dollar flywheel or do i have to also buy a better flywheel?
i mean which one would you get?
now also, if your answer is YES if i decide to go with a AM v6 clutch i have to get a better flywheel too....then is this one good to run with one of the AM clutches
I bought the flywheel and clutch package from autozone have never had a problem with it. The clutch I bought has a life time warranty and with duralast they dont even ask questions, they just say thank you and come back. I shop at Autozone alot. I mean its really up to you.
Why do you have to get a new flywheel, why not just get it the stock flywheel resurfaced? Spec makes a good clutch but some will say different but I have never heard anything bad about a RAM clutch.

as far as the flywheel, everytime i go in there i....and by " i " i mean the mechanic lol, i try to replace it all with new parts to lessen the headache later on.
im pretty set on getting a ram or spec clutch but the MAIN ? i have is, is it okay to use a regular cheaper flywheel with one of these clutches or should i buy more expensive flywheel?
thanks fellas for the response and lemme know....as SOON as i get a definitive answer, im gonna AM it lol.
you should definitely get a aluminum flywheel, granted they are a lil harder to drive because they are lighter it is actually easier to stall the car, BUT the gains are well worth it. I know that my new pressure plate, clutch disc, and flywheel weighed as much as my stocker flywheel. made a noticeable difference in acceleration and ability to transfer more of your power to the wheels because of less parasitic power loss.

but my main ? is, now its not IF but WHEN i purchase the ram or spec 1 clutch, CAN i run it with a heavier stock flywheel? i mean i know heavier=s slowers start/lift off etc....hold back some of my power but at this point to be honest with yall...............im BROKE lol
so i was hoping i could put down $ for the clutch and just resurface the flywheel OR get one from AZ for like 100 bucks....
