Default car won't start

I recently put in a 65 mm throttle body, I had trouble switching out the tps sensor, in the beggining it was lined incorrectly but I fixed it and i was having slight idle issues.

Today I was driving and I stopped the car and when I went to start it back up the starter would turn the engine over but the engine wouldn't start.
However when I pressed the gas pedal while trying to start the car, it started up.
Is there a problem with something in the fuel system? by the way I own a 2004 v6

Thanks for the help guys

oh, in THAT case sounds like the TPS is bad, but has spots where it works so when ur pumping it you hit that good spot and it gets the signal.

alright that sounds resonable. just one more question. when i first installed it, it worked fine. why would it all of the sudden just die?

the metal workings inside them get brittle from the cold hot cold hot cold hot cold cycle of the engine so had you not touched it, it may have lasted for who knows how long. but sometimes the inner workings wear out to the point that taking them off and moving it around breaks it. happened to my friends trans am only with his pickup coil. took the distributor out to reset the timing at top dead center and realign the distributor and the pickup coil broke cause we moved it.

there shouldn't be but one way to install it although before you replace it you could take a multi meter and check it with the ohm scale you should get a reading at all points of the throttle position.
