Off road pipes are not emissions legal. So if you have to go through periodic emissions testing, some hot-shot Smog Tech is probably going to fail you on visual inspection.

like how much would it cost to put the pipes on my car, and what does it take if i want to do them myself

Not sure on cost. But as far as doing it yourself, if you get a kit, all you really need is a welder. If you buy stock pipe, a mandrel bender, saw and welder..
Best thing is to call around to your local muffler shop. But I HIGHLY recommend staying clear from Midas. They always want more. They wanted $900 to do mine cat back including the Flows...I got it down to a little less than $600.00 with a custom X-pipe from a local independant shop.

Thats STILL too much dude! I got mine made, installed for $350 but that was like 4-5 yrs ago lol
