Sometimes people should just save up until they can afford the right parts. I mean a great cam versus and a off the shelf cam is like comparing GT40's and AFR 165's IMO.

thats fine, like i said sometimes it's not an option. if you can't afford it and find an OTS grind will do and keep you on the track. they can say whatever they want, but the guy here has been doing custom cams since 1960's.
but like you said i own a 4v...i don't have to work as hard to make more power than your OLD motor


personally, i'll take an OTS cam and stay on the track, than have everything but a cam and not racing.
