What's a 64.5 Mustang's value?
My mother-in-law wants to sell her 64.5 Mustang this summer. We have no idea what it might be worth. She bought it from the original owner in 1970 and has used it sparingly on summer days. It's a baby blue convertible, hi-po package, 289 V8, automatic, and could easily be ready for car shows. I have no idea of how many miles, and she said the engine was rebuilt in the 80's. Any ideas what this car might be worth around the Midwest, Wisconsin specifically? Are there any websites that might help us figure out the value? Thanks.

pretty difficult to say without seeing some pictures.
However, you would have gotten more for it a couple of years ago then you can now. If you could wait till the economy / market improves you might be able to get more in a couple of years.

Without pictures it is very hard to say but an original convertible with HiPo in good condition is a desirable car. High teens to mid twenties?
And I think the car, although referred to commonly as a 64-1/2, is actually titled as a 65. I believe they all were. The "64-1/2" models are actually called "early 65s." The biggest difference between them and the late 65s were the early ones used generators while the late ones used alternators.
