I know that it will be expensive for me to fix up my car, but luckily for me I know a fair amount of helpful people and places that can save me money. If I do get a paint job, I'm definitely doing prep work myself, and going to a body shop that I know and have done business with before with good prices. As for the engine, I doubt I'll swap, but I probably will get a JY throttle body, port the intake, and maybe get a cam. I don't want to do an IRS setup unless I find an amazing deal. I guess I mostly want my car to be respectable and worthy of its badge. If I can't do that for cheaper than another car, I'll probably buy another car. It's all still up in the air about my exact plan though.
