It is not going to be horribly expensive to do a swap. If you can find a wrecked 5.0 mustang and strip everything you need out of there that would be the easiest way to go. As for suspension alot of 5.0 guys run 4cyl springs up front because it gives that raked look to the car. If you can find a good donor car than I would say go with a swap it isnt that hard and the power you can make from the v8 is a huge benefit.
