Default Will I pass my states OBD emission test?

I have to go for emissions later this year for CT. Currentall Im running and 0/r x pipe, with a custom tune turning the rear 02 sensors off. In CT the emissions test for 96- newer is just a plug in obd type. They plug it in to see if everythings running properly. Will i pass with no cats and rear 02s off. I dont have a CEL on.

I could be wrong but it looks at the parameters in a ping and response. If the "switch" is turned off then it will fail.

If they are disabled it will not pass the emmission test, if you put the spark plug non-foulers on your rear 02's and enable the sensors it will pass as long as they don't physically look for the cats. But if they check for cats and don't see them it will fail.

u need to have MIL's on the rear o2 sensors to pass i believe. Mine passed PA and MD emissions with the MIL's on there.

Get MIL eliminators and play it safe. You dont want anybody looking under your car or asking questions.

So what would I have to do, Return my car to stock on the tuner to turn my rear o2s on, then get a set of mils and use them just for emissions, then once im done put the tune back in??

the mil eliminators run on ur car all the time. all they do is plug into ur rear o2 sensors and then to where ur o2 sensors would plug into the wire harness. u keep them on and there is no need to disable ur rear o2's and you will pass emissions. ofcourse thats assuming they dont look under there and inspect the car for cats.

Exactly. I hope your going to a private garage for inspection and not the state one. I dont know how CT is but Jersey are the biggest handjobs you'd ever meet.

So you can't pass the OBD emissions test if you only have a tune turning your rear o2's off?

no you cannot. There has to be a reading there. If there is no reading at all you fail. The mil eliminators simulate a reading that would be there. I think im explaining this right. If i'm and someone esle can do it better please feel free to chime in
