S197 Shelby SectionThis section is for technical discussions pertaining specifically to the latest installment of the Shelby Mustangs; the Shelby GT, the CS6, and the awesome GT500.
yea... the sixxer spoiler doesnt look great on that car... also i prefer the super snake alcoas... and i would be nervous 2 drive the KR the way i drive my car...
I kid you not....I went by the dealership where I bought my Mustang GT yesterday. They had a KR in the showroom.....$131k. And I considered them to be a 'reasonable' dealership, so take that what its worth.

But that is an asking price. They can ask all they want but doesnt mean they are going to get it and if someone is willing to pay that Ford wont finance the markup so they better have a good down or the whole amount available in cash.
There was recently one at my local Ford dealer, they were asking $81,000 for it. It has been sold, but I don't know what they got for it. It was sweeet!
I saw a ton of GT500's being turned into Supersnakes at Shelby Automotive in Vegas. Guys are getting great deals on near new GT500's and sending them right to the factory to be upgraded.
I have seen a bunch around Houston and DFW dealerships. They are far overpriced IMO. The 2010 is all around a better car than the KR, at least according to published reviews. Yes the KR is a little more exclusive but I just can't see the prices they are listed at. I think the dealers wanting these extravagant prices are going to take a bath on them in another year or two just to get them off their lots.
I really don't want to get this argument started, but I take issue with the "true" Shelby tag. Mine didn't come from Vegas, but it is a Shelby. The certificate of origin that came with the car states "Shelby Mustang." The insurance company looked up the vin and issued me a card that says "Shelby Mustang." The car is titled--from the certificate of origin--as a "Ford....Shelby." Window sticker--same thing. All dealer info refers to the car as a Shelby GT 500. It's a Shelby--just like the '68--'70 model GT 350's and GT 500's. They didn't go through the Shelby facility in LA, but are "real" Shelby's nonetheless. Sorry, just couldn't help myself......
