how to adjust neutral safety switch?
So i've been having a problem for probably about 2 years and have had to wiggle the gear selector on occasion to get the car to crank. It was no big deal until the other day and now it won't start at all. i have to basicly hot wire it across the solenoid to start the car.
I loosened the 2 bolts on the sides of the switch and tried to start the car with it turned all the way clockwise, and again counter clockwise, but neither worked. Am I doing this right? Think the switch has gone completely out? Thanks for any help.
Oh, and i heard there was a hole that your supposed to put a drill bit in to line it up but i didn't see any place

I was able to losen the bolt of the shifter linkage and the two on the sensor. Place it in N...
I was able to move the sensor a few times until it would start. Would have been easy with a friend under the car. I just bump the ignition until fire. I tighten down the sensor and shifter linkage.
There is also two holes in the sensor. You can place small drill bit in each of them to aligned the sensor also..
