Tire spin at 4500+ rpm is bad. If it were me I'd try to do something about that sooner or later. It's another reason I don't want more than about 400whp. Getting it to the ground becomes a PITA the further out you go.

I think you're projecting a bit here and making my situation out to be much worse than it is man. IDK what to tell you. There are two scenarios with a supercharger. Either you're going with a roots/twin screw and going to roast the tires off the line, or you're going with a centri and you're going to roast them at about 3000rpm. Unless you are running slicks or very sticky drag radials that will wear out in 10000 miles and do burnouts to heat them up, this is just a fact of life with the blower.

I don't race the car so I could care less, but I'd be willing to wager my little non-IC Vortech could give some of these 480+ rwhp twin screw guys a run for their money... strictly because the majority of my power actually does make it to the pavement. Just a hunch. The spin I get get between 3-5k RPM isn't pure spin either. Its laced with some traction. Its not like the ass end is floating out, if that makes sense.
400whp is already beyond the threshold of being able to put power to the ground easily. I get the most spin in first, after I'm rolling, if I am heavy into the throttle. If I popped the clutch from a dead stop I can spin it off the line of course. The car is a manual after all. I could spin the tires off the rim in a manual Hyundai Accent by popping the clutch, so that isn't saying much. If I shift smoothly into second and 3rd I get little to no spin, the blower is huffing and puffing by then and the car is hauling ass.
The 3.73s that are going in tomorrow will make all of this much worse I'm sure, but I just don't care. Having the car be torquey and "hairy" is fun to me.
