Good luck getting this with the X charger
I rode in the car... the ponies are there.
That car is a DD during the week and goes to the track on weekends.
It still has the stock engine.

Centris work well for DD if they're tune properly (the Vortech does anyway)

To the OP... You don't have to go radical with a Vortech system if you were to get one.
10 psi would give you about 300hp at the wheels while being very reliable.
The 4.0 mill has stronger internals than he 4.6 V8. That helps!
PM Rygen and anyone else that has a proven record with the V6 and you'll get the best advices on that subject...
I can't find that despite trying so I'll assume that was with a car that had every other mod possible.

The same can be said about the x-charger if you combined the gains proven from the intercooler with the fastest ever 15 PSI x-charger cars which had everything too, doing that you get 400 RWHP.

Either way both of these options are well out of his price range but the 400 RWHP x-charger would consistently beat the vortech because even if it's RWHP number were way higher, the cetri system is so peaky that it's dyno numbers are a poor comparison to anything else because you're never going to use 85% of that. This is a pretty standard rule.

What I'm trying to say is that even though the x-charger isn't some maximum horsepower monger, it's still going to be faster being significantly under and and be very competetive.

Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.
