The X-Charger really shines in the street application imho. The almost instant torque and bulletproof reliability make this a very easy unit to live with on the street bolted up the the 4.0

Just another point to consider, in the past decade or two compare the number of production supercharged cars from major manufacturers using centri's (the big zippo) vs Eaton type positive displacement blowers (tons of models from Ford, GM, Mercedes, etc). The reason is the reliability. They don't want warranty headaches. They messed with Centri's in the 50's and 60's and moved on (granted todays centri units are more advanced)
