This may help as well. It's for a 2003 GT 4.6 Mustang. You may need to use a magnifying glass to get a detailed view of the diagram. Good luck, Tommy.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I am also planning on replacing my ignition with a relay button + switches, and I cannot find any help.

I have a 1996 GT 4.6L

Would these wire colors (for the 03 diagram) be the same for my 96?
If not, does anyone happen to have a diagram I can use?

I've been using my actuator box as my starter, and I have back problems, so reaching down is a literal pain.

I do not have wiring diagrams for the '96-'98 models, however Ford is a creature of habit like most older organisations so I would expect the wire colour codes for each function to be the same...

When my son turned in his 2003 GT Mustang, I got rid of all of the wiring diagrams that I had stored in a file on my computer. I may have something on a disk that I saved back then. Let me take a look and I'll get back to you, Tommy.
