Default Fuel Pump Questions

Yesterday, while putting the plates back on my car for the summer, my car was idling then it stalled. Fuel Pump **** the bed. If I remember correctly, svo's have two fuel pumps, and people usually add one bigger fuel pump. Is this true? If it is, could someone post a link to the pump I need to get?
Thanks alot

Well not all SVO's had two fuel pumps, the 84 and 85 SVO's had an intake pump and then a frame mounted pump on the passenger side of the car. What a lot of people do is replace both the pumps with a high output Walbro 255 lph pump.

Yeah the Walbro is an in-tank pump, you can also replace the frame mounted pump with another fuel filter from a '93 (I think) Ranger with the V6. Here's a link to a Walbro pump but I don't think it's the high-output one.

Walbro

Should I replace the stock fuel pressure regulator with an aftermarket model with this bigger pump? I don’t plan to boost the car any higher than 15lbs.
Just want to make sure before I buy everything so I only have to place one order.

Thanks again

To the best of my knowledge you don't need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator if you're only going to run 15 psi.

I'm not sure.. but on the Xr4ti's the in tank pump is behind a resistor wire... so the wiring to it needs to be upgraded to run just one pump...
