Default 1964.5 170CI Engine color?

I just purchased a 1964.5 170CID 6-cyl Mustang. I really want to make it look original and am already having some trouble finding reliable info for the engine paint color. All the books I have list the 1964.5 260CID/6 cyl as having the Blue engine parts The others use 1965 colors. But.......
Catalogs that list the specific paint to order have listed:

1964.5 260-6cyl New Ford Blue
65 ford Red/Orange
65 ford Gold (Gloss)
65 ford Black
66-73 ford Blue

(some catalogs are different as well!!!)
I am guessing they would be the red/orange, but the parts currently on it are a light blue, but have a crappy NEW paint job so i can't trust it as being the original color.
And worst of all, beside not being able to find engine color info for this car, I can't seem to find a single picture on the net of the engine compartment (unless it chromed out).

This is going to be a long restore, for me and my son, so I would like to start it out right with the correct info to make it look original. Does anyone have a book, list (or car) that shows what color was used on the accent parts in the engine compartment for a 1964.5 (Pre August 1964) 170CID 6-Cyl w/original generator??
There is so much different from the real 1965, so it is getting a bit confusing. Any help would be appreciated.

My 65 originally had a 200 and it was the red/orange color.

I have a 64 1/2 Poppy Red with black interior, purchased in August of 1965 by my father and everything on it is still original. The engine is a 170cid with a generator. The valve cover and air cleaner assembly is orange and the block is black. The engine compartment is black as well. If need be I can send you a picture.

Valve cover and air cleaner are Ford Red. The engine is gloss black. Accessories are either semi-gloss black or unpainted, as appropriate.
