Wax-on, Wax-off Danielson!

Unless your car has hairline scratches in the clearcoat I wouldn't bother with a buffer. Most of the time inexperienced people will actually do more harm than good with a buffer. They end up putting swirl marks in the clear from using too much pressure on the buffer and not moving it enough.
