87 Notchback, want to modify engine 400hp range
Folks, I am new to the 5.0 Mustang. I want to modify the engine and keep it street friendly. I have an 87 SSP FHP notch with an 302 H.O. motor. I hear that these motors came with a roller cam stock. I have read an article on car craft that by changing out the heads to AFR's that a 400 horse motor was achieved. I would like to keep my fuel injection but do not know what would be required for it. I really do not want to install a MAF system. Need some help. Has anyone ventured this route? Thanks, Rob
My car currently has the following mods:
Intake spacer
MSD dis.
Crane Cam ing.
Mac cold air intake
flowmaster 40's
bbk shortie headers
posi rearend
