punctuation is your friend, dont be scared of it. is the bracket cutting the padding or the actual vinyl of the top? there is a strip of padding that runs along each side of the top, where the brackets curve over. if you have the original top and padding, this might be worn out. if your top has been replaced, they may not have replaced the padding or could have forgotten to re-install it. in either case, the frame could be rubbing directly against the top, which will cause extra wear and eventually rub a hole in the vinyl.
