I can tell you from personal experience, DON'T GET A STAGE 1! A couple of years ago, I bought one and it sucked from day one. Smelled like it was burning up all the time, although there was little or no slippage. I was so concerned about it, I called up Spec, and talked to a tech who proceeded to tell me it was "normal" for the 500 mile break in period. Problem is, it continued long afterward! I've had no issues with the Stage 2 or 2+ models. If I was going to get a "light duty" clutch, I think I would stick with the OEM Ford units.
