Nope, thank God. It doesn't make much sense to produce two completely different engine architectures, so it has been said by a Ford engine block production worker here on the forums that they have gotten word that after November the production for the 4.6 and 5.4 will cease.

There will not be a 4.6 or 5.4 next year, so the 5.0 is the GT motor, unless they use the ecoboost, but all rumors have pointed to the 5.0. Couple that with the news yesterday about the 3.7 being the base motor with around 275+ (possibly even about 300hp) and a 400hp GT sounds about right. Besides the fact that it puts it in Camaro bragging territory (for auto, and just under the Camaro manual hp rating) and you have a recipe for success, especially with a lighter car than the Camaro and Challenger.

So, no. Thank God for another 5.0 for the masses!
