i like the idea of the stroker motor, but dong the "ghetto" 393W with the stock 351W rods and the 302 pistons results in 1:a very high compression ratio something close to or north of 11:1. and 2: a VERY unfavorable rod ratio, worse than a 347's.
personally, i like the 408, as it still has a (barely) longer stroke than bore, and gives you plenty of low end torque with enough oomph to rev to 6500rpm.
a torque healthy 408W could get away with the TB MAF and 30#'s but build it for torque, not rpm or itll choke itself.
its gonna still be worlds better than your 302 obviously lol.
